When Our Farmers' Journey Became India's Success Story
Some achievements are measured in profits.
Others are measured in the lives we touch.
For us, the greatest achievement was seeing thousands of farmers believe that medicinal plant cultivation could change their future.
More than a decade ago, we started with a simple mission – to help farmers grow high-value medicinal herbs and connect them with reliable markets. We walked beside them through every season, sharing knowledge, building confidence, and creating opportunities.
Together, we introduced Bengal Variety Ashwagandha, expanded Brahmi cultivation across the coastal districts of West Bengal, and encouraged the cultivation of Tulsi and other medicinal plants. What began with a few determined farmers gradually became a movement.
As farmers prospered, their fields flourished. As the fields flourished, hope returned to their families.
Our work did not go unnoticed. The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, through the Regional-cum-Facilitation Centre (Eastern Region), Jadavpur University, featured our farmer-led initiatives as Success Stories in its official 2024 calendar.
One page celebrated the successful cultivation of Bengal Variety Ashwagandha in Murshidabad.
Another recognized the promotion of Brahmi cultivation in the coastal districts of West Bengal through organized farmer participation and market development.
